RESTORATIVE BREATHING TECHNIQUES

Restorative Breathing Techniques: incorporates a variety of breathing exercises, depending on needs of client, that not only restores balanced breathing but optimizes mechanical/orthopedic function of body, kinesthetic awareness, emotional/spiritual influences and overall balance of all body systems.

Treatment includes:

  • Positioning in supine, sitting, or side lying

  • Specific breathing exercise that can address and help manage pain to stress (type, length, and duration,etc depends on deficits being addressed)

  • Manual techniques with breathing as necessary

 

Can be incorporated with other treatment techniques in a variety of populations and diagnoses including but not limited to:

  • Orthopedic & Neurologic populations

  • Women's Health

  • Stress management

  • Anxiety/depression
